Rare Book Restoration Center

  The Rare Book Restoration Center is established on the basis of the former Book Restoration Section, Rare Book Department, National Library of China. With staff members with more that 15 years of experiences, it is the largest organization of rare book restoration in China. The Center can provide restoration services for all kinds of bindings of Chinese ancient books by using traditional Chinese restoration techniques.
  The principle of the Center is "Restoring books as it is", i.e. to keep the quality, material value and cultural value during the restoration.
  The Center has completed the restoration of rare books of the Song and Yuan dynasties collected in the National Library of China, the famous Zhao Cheng Jin Zang, Dunhuang materials and thousands of ancient books, winning reputation in the ancient book restoration industry.
To fully utilize the advantages in book restoration techniques, the Rare Book Restoration Center provides restoration, binding, mounting and training services.
