Dunhuang and Turpan Materials Center
The Dunhuang and Turpan
Materials Center was planned in 1983 and established in 1988.
As the largest center of Dunhuang and Turpan materials in the
world, it has a collection of about 30,000 items of various kinds.
The Center is responsible for the acquisition, arrangement and
collection of materials related to Dunhuang and Turpan studies,
the publication of related bibliographies and monographs, the
reference and reading services to scholars all around the world.
The Reading Room of Dunhuang and Turpan Materials has a collection
of materials in Dunhuang and Turpan Studies, history of the Sui
and Tang dynasties, and history, geography and religious culture
of the Western Regions. They include microforms, photos, monographs,
journals, conference proceedings and A/V materials in Chinese,
Western languages, Japanese and other languages.
Hours: 9:00-17:00, Mon.-Fri.
