Document Delivery Service Center
Established in 1997, Document
Delivery Service Center provides charged services to national
key projects, production units and the public, with the functions
of collection, retrieval, reference and information dissemination,
by integrating traditional reference methods and advanced information
network technologies.
Document Supply: finding document in the collections of NLC and
providing photocopies.
Subject Search: Searching all information related to certain subjects;
Image Materials: Searching images in all kinds of publications;
Collection Replenishment: Regular collection replenishment services
and binding;
Patent Texts: Providing patent texts collected in patent offices;
Interlibrary lending: Services to library and information institutions
and academic libraries;
International lending: Services to about 500 libraries in 67 countries.
E-Mail transmission: the Ariel system, a fast document delivery
system of the center, can integrate scanning, transmission and
photocopying, and can transmit documents to IP addresses of users
via the Internet.
