Electronic Information Resources

Chinese E-Books
There are 170,000 titles of Chinese books which have been digitized into e-books with relevant bibliographic records and tables of contents. Anyone who has the membership can use the collection on web.

E-Publications
The Library has collection of more than 4000 multimedia CD-ROMs published both at home and abroad

E-Journals in Western Languages
The Library has 1100 titles of Elsevier full-text e-journals. Due to the IP control by the publisher, the e-journals can only be used in Electronic Reading Room of the Library.

Web Databases
The Library has the GAIE and UMI web-databases in science and technology, and business. There are 1,100 titles of Elsevier full-text e-journals jointly used by the Library and other 11 academic libraries, such as Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University. Due to the authenticated IP control by the publisher, the e-journals can only used at Electronic Reading Room of the Library.

Multimedia resource databases
China Digital Library Corp. Ltd. has developed, with advance technologies, the multimedia databases, including the subjects like Chinese folk customs, military, tourism, the world's seas and oceans, and who's who.

Remote Access to CD-ROM Databases
The remote access to the CD-ROM databases is available for the users who have registered at the National Library of China.
