The database has a total of 400,000 bibliographic records for Chinese
books from 1985 and onwards. It gives the location of the books
kept in Room 1 of Chinese Books for Loan and Room 2 of Chinese Books
for Loan. The readers may use reader's cards to check out books
from there.
Database
of Chinese Books at the General Stack
Has a total of 670,000 bibliographic records of the Chinese books
from 1975 and onwards, with an annual addition of about 60,000 records
of Chinese books. The readers can borrow the books from Book and
Periodical Circulation Desk for their reference on the premises
of the Library.

of Books in Western Languages
A total of more than 340,000 bibliographic records of the books
in western languages from 1975 and onwards, with an annual addition
of 30,000 records. Readers may consult the books at Reading Room
1 of New Books in Foreign Languages, Reading and Lending Room of
Books in Western Languages, Book and Periodical Circulation Desk,
and Foreign Book for Loan Desk.
Database
of Chinese Books
A total of more than 300,000 bibliographic records of the 210,000
books in social sciences published in the past 8 years kept in the
Reading Rooms of Chinese Books in Social Sciences, and of 90,000
Chinese books in science and technology published in the past 6
years kept in Reading Room of Chinese Books in Science and Technology.
An annual updating to the collection is over 50,000.
Database
of Chinese Periodicals
A list of over 10,000 titles of Chinese periodicals for which the
readers may consult in Reading Room of Chinese Periodicals in Social
Sciences, Reading-Room of Chinese Periodicals in Science and Technology,
and from Book and Periodical Circulation Desk.
Database
of Periodicals in Western Languages
A list of some 8000 titles of periodicals in western languages for
which the readers can consult at Reading Room 1 of Periodicals in
Foreign Languages, Reading Room 2 of Periodicals Foreign Languages,
and Book and Periodical Circulation Desk.
Database
of Dunhuang and Turpan Manuscripts
Contains more than 20,000 bibliographic records of books, papers,
treatises, periodical articles on Dunhuang and Turpan study from
1908 and onwards. The literatures relating to Dunhuang and Turpan
study are from China, China's Hong Kong and Taiwan. The annual addition
to the collection is some 10,000 records. For detailed information,

of Chinese Yearbooks
Contains over 210,000 records for information extracted from some
230 titles of Chinese yearbooks in 1981 and onwards. The readers
may have access to statistics, laws and regulations, special documents,
book comments with title, author, key words, place name, source,

Database
of Audio-video Materials
Contains more than 60,000 bibliographic records of audio-video materials
such as laser videodisks, laser phonographs, audio cassette-tapes,
VCR, VCD. The readers may have access to the collection through
title, translator, creator, keywords, formats of carrier. For more

Database
on Who's Who in Local Chronicles
Contains over 32,000 records of who's who in the Chinese local chronicles
published locally since 1949. Each record covers the persons' name,
sex, nationality, the period of his (or her) living, year of birth
and death, etc. The annual addition to the collection is 10,000
