Abstract: |
During the decade when he was 65 to 75, Professor Qin Boyi toured all of China's 35 World Heritage sites, 18 World Geological Parks, 110 Famous Historical and Cultural Cities, 187 key spots of scenic beauty, and the earliest 30 National Heritage sites. The tours have yielded about twenty thousand photographs and a batch of travelogues. In this lecture, Professor Qin will make use of his photos as well as historical, literary and social knowledge to showcase China's picturesque landscape and splendid culture, and to relate personal experiences and sentiments. The lecture will enable communication with tourism enthusiasts, impart information to the young, and provide vicarious pleasure for the handicapped. 1. Confucian ethics; 2. A tentative exploration of its origin; 3. Its social function; 4. Its relationship with law and benevolence—solemnize ethics, stress law and cultivate benevolence; 5.
