Mr. Zhan Furui
 

 

Mr. Zhan Furui, male, Manchu nationality, was born in November 1953 in Qinghuangdao, Hebei Province. He is professor and Ph. D advisor. He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1989. He graduated from Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Hebei University in 1978, and then worked at the university. Later, he got master's and doctor's degree at Hebei University successively, and graduated in May 1991. He had acted as deputy director and director of Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Hebei University, vice president, and secretary of the CPC Committee of Hebei University successively. He was appointed secretary of the CPC Committee of the National Library of China (NLC) and deputy director of the NLC in September 2003 (in charge of daily routine work). He was appointed NLC director and secretary of the CPC Committee of the NLC in January 2005. In December 2009, he was appointed secretary of the CPC Committee of the NLC and executive deputy director (Director-General Level) of the NLC. He was a deputy to the 11th and the 12th National People's Congress.
