China National Microfilming Center for Library Resources was established in 1985. Its main duties are to develop microforms regulations among all public libraries and organize and coordinate rescue activities for Chinese ancient documentation. The Microfilming Center is now one of the departments in the National Library of China since 1998.

In order to implement the rescue work efficiently, the Microfilming Center established 22 microforms shooting points. We provide more than 100 microfilm readers and thousands of microform products for users' interest. We have lots of well-trained professional staff whom are specialist in this field. With the advanced technologies and personnel, our microforms application is catching up with those developed country libraries.
