The launching ceremony of China Digital Library for Visual Impairment & The Premiere of the film Blossom was held in National Library of China on October 14th, which was sponsored by Information Centre, China Disabled Persons' Federation, National Library of China, China Braille Publishing House, China Association of the Blind, China Commission of Promotion of Publicity for the Undertakings of Chinese Disabled Persons, and Beijing Association of the Blind. About 150 delegates attended the ceremony, including Zhou Heping, Shen Zhifei, Zhang Xu, Zhan Furui, Li Zhijun, Yang Jia, Lv Zhengming, Wang Tao, Ma Yu'e, Zou Bolin, Cui Huiping, Zhang Wei, and some blind delegates. The ceremony was hosted by Chen Li, deputy director of National Library of China.

In the ceremony, Zhou Heping, vice minister of the Ministry of Culture, Shen Zhifei, vice president of China Disabled Persons' Federation, Zhan Furui, director of National Library of China, and Li Zhijun, president of China Association of the Blind, make a speech respectively.

In the following, the delegates from National Library of China, Information Centre, China Disabled Persons' Federation, and China Braille Publishing House signed Cooperation Agreement on the Long-term Development of China Digital Library for Visual Impairment. And the website of Digital Library for Visual Impairment was launched by Yang Jia, vice president of China Association of the Blind.

China Digital Library for Visual Impairment is co-constructed by National Library of China, Information Centre, China Disabled Persons' Federation, and China Braille Publishing House. The blind can hear e-books, music, online lectures and so on by reading software through the website. The launching of the website marks that the manners of cultural services for the blind are broadened.

In the launching ceremony, the premiere of the film Blossom was held, which presented a festival present for the blind.
