OCLC President and Chief Executive Officer Visits NLC

In the afternoon of June 17th, 2008, a 5-person delegation of OCLC visited National Library of China, including Mr. Jay Jordan, OCLC President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Andrew H. Wang, Vice President, OCLC Asia Pacific, Ms. Shu-En Tsai, director of Asia-Pacific Service Department, Mr. Qiu Dongjiang, Chief Representative of OCLC in the Beijing office, and Ms. Zhao Zhi, assistant of Chief Representative of OCLC in the Beijing office. Zhan Furui, NLC director, interviewed the delegation. The following members also attended the interview, including Wang Dongbo, director of Coordination and Operation Management Division, Gu Ben, director of Chinese Acquisitions & Cataloguing Department, Gao Hong, acting director of Foreign Language Acquisitions & Cataloguing Department, Wang Yan, deputy director of International Cooperation Division, and Wang Yang, deputy director of Chinese Acquisitions & Cataloguing Department.

OCLC has always been keeping good exchange relationship with National Library of China. In the beginning of 2008, both sides signed cooperation agreement on bibliographic data. Both sides discussed the cooperation details in the interview, which set solid foundation for the following operation.
