On June 3rd, National Library of China signed agreement with China Post-Doctor Science Foundation in NLC. The following members attended the signing ceremony, including Zhuang Zijian, director of Chinese Service Center of Scholarly Exchange, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and deputy director of China Post-Doctor Science Foundation, Zhang Yuhui, NLC deputy director, and so on.

According to the agreement, National Library of China will provide special information service platform for post-doctors. Reference Department will be in charge of the special information service platform. Based on the large and comprehensive collection of NLC, we will provide one-stop service for the researchers, including NLC collections service, international interlibrary loan service, national interlibrary loan, etc.

The on-site post-doctors, remote post-doctors and other remote researchers can propose enquiries through the special enquiry office, special librarians, special telephone number and special e-mail. According to the users' enquiries, National Library of China will coordinate NLC collections, multi-media resources, and databases home and abroad, and then provide enquiry services for them by all kinds of convenient manners.

China Post-Doctor Science Foundation should develop the advantage that post-doctors take part in the scientific research in every field, and provide training service for National Library of China. In addition, they should actively take part in the literature acquisitions and reference services of National Library of China, so as to advance the overall service level of National Library of China.

Zhang Zijian, deputy director of China Post-Doctor Science Foundation, showed that the information service platform will help the post-doctors solve the problems encountered in information retrieval, save research cost, improve research efficiency, and promote the creation of innovative academic atmosphere for post-doctors.

Zhang Yuhui, NLC deputy director, expressed that National Library of China is a comprehensive research library and a national repository of publications, with a large and comprehensive collection and a high-quality reference group. NLC provides services for the central government, priority readers in research, educational and production institutions, and the public. The cooperation between National Library of China and China Post-Doctor Science Foundation is not only an important manner of providing services for research, educational and production institutions, but also promotes the construction of innovation systems in science and technology field, and education field.

In the ceremony, National Library of China also delivered the subject retrieval services that had finished to Beijing Post-doctor Organization.
