In the afternoon of June 2nd, "Sincerity Warms Hearts, True Love Moves Heaven and Earth—Photograph Exhibition Recording the Actual Events of Wenchuan Earthquake Relief Efforts" was held in the Exhibition Hall of National Library of China. The exhibition was sponsored by National Library of China, China New Elite Media View Union, Hai Dian Culture Commission, and supported by SINA Corporation.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition began at 14: 28, and the attendees mourned for the victims killed by Wenchuan Earthquake for one minute. In the following, Chen Li, NLC deputy director, made a speech in the ceremony. He mourned for the earthquake victims and extended his great respects to the strong will and patience and the united patriotism of Chinese people on behalf of National Library of China. Finally, a poem named WE DON’T WANNA CRY was recited by Yin Zhiguang, a famous recitation artist, and 20 students from The Central University for Nationalities.
There were about 160 photos in the exhibition, which were taken by tens of journalists from the sites of earthquake relief efforts. The photos objectively recorded the fight and assistance after Wenchuan Earthquake, and reflected the strong will and patriotism of Chinese people when encountering the earthquake disaster.
The relative seeking slips, which were shot by journalists in the disaster area, were also exhibited so as to help people in the disaster area seek their relatives as soon as possible.
The exhibition will end on June 20th.
