The Delegation of National Library of Korean Visits NLC

On the invitation of National Library of China, a 5-person delegation of National Library of Korean, led by the deputy director Pu Guangwu, visits National Library of China from May 19th to May 25th, and does the 12th operation exchange with National Library of China.

During the visit period, Zhan Furui, NLC director, Zhang Yafang, NLC deputy director, and Chen Li, NLC deputy director, interviewed the delegation. Both parties discussed the cooperation details, and expressed the wish of further strengthening cooperation in operation field.

The operation exchange between National Library of China and National Library of Korea is held each year, and one topic is discussed in the annual operation exchange meeting. The topic of this year is "The Collection, Collation and Service of Ancient Books". Chen Li, NLC deputy director, hosted the operation exchange meeting, and made a lecture named "The General Work Situation of Ancient Books in National Library of China". Li Wenjie, Rare Books Section, NLC Library of Ancient Books, made a lecture named "The General Work Situation of Acquisitions of Special Collections in NLC in Recent Years", and Dong Rui, Stack Management and Reading Section of Rare Books, NLC Library of Ancient Books, made a lecture named "The Exploration on Reading Services of Ancient Books". The Korean party made two lectures, i.e. "The Evolution, Preservation, and Development of Recording Media" and "The Collection and Utilization Management of Ancient Books in National Library of Korea".
