On May 12th, a strong earthquake hit Wenchuan. The staff of National Library of China showed great care and donated money for the mass in the disaster area. National Library of China donated RMB 386,332 Yuan in all, including RMB 165,332 Yuan from NLC staff (including RMB 1,180 Yuan from the staff of Yiming Company), RMB 200,000 Yuan from the organization of NLC, RMB 20,000 Yuan from The Cultural Development Centre of Beijing Library, and RMB 1,000 Yuan from Wenjin Bookstore. The donation will give the mass in the disaster area courage and strength to conquer the disaster and reconstruct their homestead.
