From April 28th to April 29th, director of National Library of Algeria and his wife paid a visit to National Library of China, and awarded Algerian-Chinese Cultural Friendship Medal to Zhan Furui, director of National Library of China.

Director Zhan Furui and deputy director Chen Li interviewed the guests. Both parties expressed the good will of strengthening the cooperation between the two national libraries, and planned to sign the Letter of Intent.

Director Szavay has always been helping disseminate Chinese culture in Algeria. "The Corner of China" was established in National Library of Algeria in 2006, which occupies more than 100 square meters, used for displaying books and audio-visual materials from China, so as to help people in Algeria understand China much better. "The Corner of China" is playing more and more important roles for introducing and disseminating Chinese culture.
