In the afternoon of April 13th, Nambaryn Enkhbayar, president of Mongolia, accompanied by Yu Hongyao, ambassador of The People's Republic of China in Mongolia, Galsan Batsukh, ambassador of Mongolia in China, and so on, visited National Library of China. Zhan Furui, director of National Library of China, and Chen Li, deputy director of National Library of China, interviewed the guests in VIP Hall. Director Zhan introduced the general situation of National Library of China, reviewed the communication history between National Library of Mongolia and National Library of China, and expressed the will of strengthening library cooperation between the two countries. After the interview, director Zhan presented oracle bones, ancient books of Song edition, and Four Most Valuable Treasures of National Library of China to the guest in VIP Hall. The workers in our library introduced Mongolian ancient books collected in National Library of China. The guests, accompanied by Zhan Furui and Chen Li, visited Electronic Reading Room, Circulation Desk in the second floor, Information Desk, Chinese Books in Social Sciences Reading room I, etc., and understood National Library of China Phase II in details.
With the cooperation of different departments in our library, the reception work was successfully finished. The Department of Asian Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China gave a high appraisal for our reception work and sent a thank-you letter to National Library of China, which appraised NLC reception work.
