From April 2nd to April 14th, NLC delegation, led by Zhang Yafang, attended the Annual Conference of Council on East Asian Libraries (April 3rd to April 6th) held in Atlanta, mainly taking part in the working conference of Chinese Literature Committee Conference, and visited Jimmy Carter Library, The Library of Congress, East Asian Library of Columbia University, The New York Public Library, Syosset Public Library in Nassau County.

Attending Chinese Literature Committee Conference of American East Asian Libraries strengthens the cooperation and communication between National Library of China and American East Asian Libraries. In addition, during the visit period, the delegation studied the construction and development of East Asian Libraries of different types of libraries, Chinese literature collection and services, and national legislative decision services provided by libraries. This visit laid the foundation for strengthening NLC legislative decision service functions, and broadening the operation cooperation field with American East Asian Libraries.
