In the morning of April 11th, the fourth research class on information on China of provincial CPPCC members of Hong Kong visited National Library of China, led by Yuan Jun, director of Coordination Department, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R.
Wang Yan, deputy director of International Cooperation Department, introduced the general situation of National Library of China to the guests. Wang Dongbo, director of Coordination and Operation Management Division, made detailed explanations on library collections, reader services, circulation management, and so on. Many members gave positive suggestions on the operation of National Library of China. After the interview, the guests visited the stack of rare books, led by Zhang Zhiqing, director of NLC Library of Ancient Books. Finally, they visited the Exhibition for Commemorating 100 Years Anniversary of Fulei's Birthday being held in NLC.
Research class on information on China of provincial members of Hong Kong is organized by the Central Institute of Socialism, which is to understand politics, economics, national defense, diplomacy, laws, society, and traditional culture of China. This visit strengthens their understanding on National Library of China, and provides solid basis for the operation in the future.
