On March 25th, 2008, Mr. France Van Ette, SWETS Regional Director, Asia, visited National Library of China. Chen Li, deputy director of National Library of China, interviewed the guest, and the following members attended the interview, including Yan Xiangdong, director of International Cooperation Division, Wang Zhigeng, director of Digital Resource and Service Department, and Gao Hong, acting director of Foreign Language Acquisitions & Cataloguing Department.

SWETS, whose headquarters is located in Holland, is one of the biggest periodical agents in the world. It is the first time that Mr. France Van Ette visited National Library of China since he has been appointed as SWETS Regional Director, Asia. Both parties discussed the problems while purchasing and using electronic periodicals, and expressed the good will to cooperate with each other in the future. Later, Mr. France Van Ette visited Si Ku Quan Shu, accompanied by the workers of International Cooperation Division. Dong Rui from NLC Library of Ancient Books introduced the general situation to the guest.
