As an important culture facility and the first state-level digital library project, the National Library of China Phase II & National Digital Library of China Project has attracted the attention of people from all walks of life. It is set down that the National Library of China Phase II will be opened on July 28th, 2008. Limited time and arduous tasks are the difficulties encountered, so we should do well the preparations for the opening of NLC Phase II. With the direct participation of NLC leaders and the efforts of related departments, National Library of China Phase II completion campaign is started all round.

First of all, we should work hard for 40 days so that moving wok can be progressed on schedule. On February 19th, Mobilization Meeting for NLC Phase II Completion Campaign, organized by General Affairs Department, was held in the building site of NLC Phase II. The meeting was hosted by Li Changming, director of General Affairs Department, and the principals of the organizations taking part in the NLC Phase II construction attended the meeting.

After the mobilization meeting, the organizations taking part in the NLC Phase II construction took various measures to ensure the completion progress. NLC engineers devoted themselves to the construction of NLC Phase II. Zhang Yuhui, NLC Deputy Director, Li Changming, director of General Affairs Department, and chief engineers came to the building site to direct construction work.

The first phase of completion campaign was finished smoothly. On March 5th, NLC checked the first phase of NLC Phase II completion campaign, and the principals of the organizations taking part in the NLC Phase II construction attended the on-site meeting. The principals respectively reported the working progress of the projects that they were responsible for in the meeting, and most of the work was well finished. Zhang Yuhui, NLC Deputy Director, reviewed the work in the first phase of completion campaign in details, and gave heartfelt thanks to the industrious efforts of the construction units on behalf of National Library of China. The meeting also deployed the operation in the next phase, and decided to check the work of the second phase of NLC Phase II Completion Campaign on March 15th.
