In the morning of April 4th, 2007, 5-person delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran Parliament has paid a visit to NLC through the introduction of embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in China. The delegation includes Mr. Mohammad Taghi Rahbar, principal of the Islamic Republic of Iran Parliament Cultural Committee, 3 members of Cultural Committee, and Dr. Aghajeri, cultural counselor of embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in China. The staff in International Cooperation Division has introduced the general situation of the National Library of China (NLC) to the guests, led them visiting the stack room and part of the reading rooms of NLC, and introduced the acquisition and cataloging of Persian and Arabic publications. Both sides have expressed the wish to reinforce the exchange and cooperation in library field between the two countries.
