As of the end of Dec 2005, our collections on AV materials have amounted up to 135000 items including 10,000 DVDs, 2,200 LDs, 50,000 VCDs, 300 VHDs, 18,000 VHSs, 35,800 CDs, 14,000 cassettes, and 951 microgroove records. Materials are mainly in Chinese, English and Japanese.

Video materials: over 10,000 classical stories and other subjects like politics, economics, military, cultural education, history, geography, biography, arts, medical science and technology

Audio materials: more than 300,000 music and song titles

Recording materials: mainly language teaching and local and foreign music

We have a Audio-Visual Room II for individual entertainment. There are total 60 seats where users can enjoy thousands of local and foreign films by VOD. Users can search for information needed by accessing the Internet. We provide different formats of materials like DVD、LD、VCD、CD、VHS and Cassette according to the needs of users.

We have a resourceful AV material center where there are lots of advanced facilities. It supports reference services on news editing, visual production etc. Besides, tailor-made services like scene clips, format conversion are provided upon requested. And we serve distance users with reference and indexes and abstracts enquiries.

There are different types of format of the materials like MPEG-1、MPEG-2、MPEG-4, MP-3, WMV, WMA, AVI, WAV. At the same time, we have a conversion service which supports CD、VCD、DVD.

We have regular promotions on new arrival AV materials and also some displays on different themes.
